Crossflo DataExchange Solutions Overview

Patriot Data Solutions Group (PDSG), a software and services company, provides solutions that enable the exchange of data between multiple systems and multiple organizations while avoiding disruption and expending far less time, effort, and cost than has been previously possible. PDSG technology is regarded by leading labs as a best of class solution to enable rapid development and deployment of data exchanges. Our technology, the Crossflo DataExchange® (CDX), was developed to exchange data between a customer's application or database and an XML schema such as NIEM, Universal Core (U-CORE), CAP, GJXDM, or HL7. CDX can use any XML schema or even create a new schema specific to a customer's needs. Whether your system is a source of data, a target for data, or both, it is "mapped" to the designated XML schema, and the subsequent exchange of data follows this common schema. This loosely coupled approach is easy to implement and maintain, and can be accomplished with personnel who are not IT experts. Data exchange can begin in a matter of days or weeks, versus the months or even years that may be required using other solutions. Of particular significance is that this approach makes sharing data invisible to the end users by eliminating operational change and disturbance while utilizing existing infrastructure.

The Acuity Index Method (AIM) is PDSG's peer-reviewed, severity of illness system used to assess the clinical and cost efficiency outcomes of medical care for hospitalized patients and those associated with the hospital's outpatient surgery areas. Sherlock™ is PDSG's decision-support tool designed specifically to support dynamic, interactive analysis of AIM data. It effectively analyzes multiple levels of data for all inpatient diagnoses and procedures as well as outpatient surgery using easily interpreted graphic output. Iameter staff train designated hospital personnel to investigate the sources of clinical variations and potential inefficiencies using this unique data-mining tool.

Vigilys Solution Technology Overview

Vigilys™ is a Tactical Operations System that bridges the information gap among field personnel, and the operations center with its Commander and Mobile products. Critical decisions impacting loss of life and property damage are made in the field during the first minutes of an incident. It is imperative for comprehensive, immediate, actionable, and relevant information to be delivered to and from the field during that critical time period for better decision-making, resource allocation and mission execution. Vigilys orchestrates and delivers real-time, incident-specific information graphically during those first few minutes, and as an incident unfolds, for improved situational awareness and response.

Through its service oriented architecture and automated business processes, Vigilys presents information in a geospatial Tactical Common Operating Picture (TCOP), and provides tactical tools for dynamic updates. As the TCOP is updated, this information is shared in real-time among authorized users for collaboration and resource management. The TCOP provides a visualization layer of the incident action plan based on inputs from field responders as well as from data collected from CDX. Vigilys can deliver the TCOP to authorized users via a web browser, and on touch screen enabled mobile or laptop computers. This combination of data mediation and real-time, map-based display provides a new level of situational awareness to first responders and emergency managers.

The Datagent security module controls user access to all hardware, prevents data migration across multiple secure networks, and avoids the susceptibility to attacks possible with software-based security strategies. Talis Data Systems is the exclusive manufacturer and marketer of the Sentinel Cyber Security System originally developed by Secured Processing, Inc. and Delta Security Technologies, Inc. The heart of the Sentinel Cyber Security System is the Sentinel Security Module that is manufactured and marketed exclusively by Talis Data Systems as the Datagent™ Security Module. Independent of PC operating systems and software, the Datagent Security Module controls access to hardware and peripherals preventing unauthorized downloading, transferring, or copying of restricted data.

Holocom PDS

Holocom's patented Protected Distribution System(PDS) is the only complete end-to-end PDS solution engineered to meet NSTISSI No. 7003 guidelines. Holocom PDS is a modular raceway system that encloses and protects secure network connections and cables, creating seamless distribution pathways for classified information. Unlike the cumbersome and labor-intensive traditional steel conduit method of pulling SIPRNet cables, the solution mounts quickly and easily on walls and furniture in CAA, LAA, UAA and SCIF environments. By making future Moves, Adds and Changes (MACS) fast, simple and cost effective, Holocom PDS achieves significant savings on lifecycle management costs.

Avot Media Technology

From a content provider's perspective, Avot solves an important file-formatting problem. The Avot engine dynamically transcodes video assets as they are being requested by the end-user. The content provider doesn't have to create many separate, pre-transcoded versions of the video in anticipation of a request. Avoiding the need to pre-ingest videos frees up valuable disk space and server resources. Most importantly, it reduces the workflow significantly. Avot formats and transcodes the same web video asset in a fraction of the time that standard transcoding requires.

The tipMotion streaming engine uses a proprietary quantizer that detects network conditions and throttles the bit-rate of the stream on-the-fly. The video stream adjusts packet sizes depending on bandwidth availability. Instead of switching from stream to stream based on bandwidth availability, the quantizer adjusts the bit-rate of the original stream on the fly, maximizing the available bandwidth much more accurately. The resulting video stream plays smoothly with no buffering or image breakup, and at the highest quality possible.

The biggest advantage to using tipMotion is the considerable savings in bandwidth traffic. The tipMotion streaming engine effectively reduces the video file size to accommodate for the limited environment of a wireless network. The data packets in the stream are optimized as the constraints of network conditions fluctuate. This on-the-fly data throttling technique allows for significant bandwidth savings; as much as 15-25%.
